National Craft and Design Fair 2015

Back home safe and sound, and semi recovered after five great days at the National Crafts & Design Fair.
Thanks so much to all my customers & fellow craftspeople who made it such a successful, pleasurable show and worth all the hard work and tender feet!!
I’m back at the bench today getting orders and commissions out for Christmas.  If you’re thinking of ordering anything do get in touch as soon as possible.

Glucksman Gallery

I’ve been selected again this year for the Glucksman Gallery Craft + Design Fair in November.

I love this fair. It has a beautiful location, the gallery staff are so helpful and a pleasure to work with, the customers have a deep appreciation for Irish craft and design and to top it all off Cork is a wonderful place to spend a weekend! Roll on the 13th of November!

What a great week here in the studio!

On Friday, I delivered my first order of work to the IMMA Museum shop.  I’m so happy to be able to say that a selection of my Halo, Confluence and Sentinel ranges are now available in Dublin and in such a beautiful space. So the next time you’re out to enjoy the art and take in a bit of culture do visit the shop!

The What We Call Love: From Surrealism to Now  exhibition opens on the 12th of September.

New work…

Over the last few months I’ve been pushing the development of my work and delving even deeper into the world of diatoms and radiolaria.  These structures fascinate me and drawing on this inspiration to create balanced, intriguing forms while not using symmetry is both a challenge and a pleasure.

Happy Christmas

That’s it folks, the last orders have gone out, the studio has been cleaned and tidied, ready for January.

All that remains is to thank everyone, customers, friends, fellow makers and designers, especially the members of FORM Designmade in Carlow and Local Enterprise Office Carlow for another fantastic year. I’m already planning new and interesting work, shows and training for 2015!

The studio is now closed and will reopen on the 13th of January.

Have a Happy Christmas and best wishes for a prosperous 2015!

Studio Christmas 2014

Ariane will be on Bobby Kerr’s Down to Business

I’ll be on Bobby Kerr’s Down to Business tomorrow. I’m going to be on a panel with Kieran Comerford CEO of Carlow County Enterprise Board and Mark Craddock MD of Maven TM.   I’ll be talking about the importance of the CEB to a SME like mine and about the new Carlow craft group that I’m involved with, Form.
